Is this server read-only?
Yes. The README explicitly states it is a read-only MCP server. For full read, write, update, delete, and action capabilities, CData offers a separate beta server.

}Tool list not available yet
This listing does not currently have a tool list to display. This does not mean the server has no tools; check its documentation for supported capabilities.
We auto-extract tools from the README. The maintainer can list them under a ## Tools heading to populate this section.
Reckon MCP Server by CData is a read-only Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows LLMs like Claude Desktop to query live data from Reckon using natural language questions. It is built on the CData JDBC Driver for Reckon, which exposes Reckon data as relational SQL models.
Clone the repository, build with mvn clean install, install and license the CData JDBC Driver for Reckon, configure a .prp file with connection details, then add the server to your client’s claude_desktop_config.json using the built JAR file and the .prp file. The server runs over stdio and must be started on the same machine as the client.
get_tables, get_columns, and run_query..prp file.Yes. The README explicitly states it is a read-only MCP server. For full read, write, update, delete, and action capabilities, CData offers a separate beta server.
Java (to run the JAR), Maven (to build), and the CData JDBC Driver for Reckon (must be installed and licensed). The server runs locally and communicates over `stdio`.
Data stays in Reckon. The server connects to your Reckon instance via the JDBC driver and retrieves live data each time a tool is called.
The server uses `stdio` as its transport. It can only be used with clients running on the same machine.
Authentication is handled through the JDBC connection string, which may include OAuth flows. The README notes that for OAuth-based sources, you will need to authenticate in your browser during configuration.
