Overview
What is price-watch?
price-watch is a zero-dependency MCP server that tracks dated price changes across 494 SaaS and AI tools. Each entry records the old price, the new price and the date it was verified, so an assistant can answer "what got more expensive this month" with receipts.
How to use price-watch?
Add npx -y @comparedge/price-watch-mcp@latest to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code) and restart. Five tools and three prompts appear. No API key, no account.
Key features of price-watch
- Recent price moves across the whole catalog, filterable by period.
- Full dated change history for a single product.
- Category-level pulse: which markets are drifting up.
- The biggest recorded increases, for renewal negotiations.
- Current verified price check for any tracked product.
Use cases of price-watch
- "Did any of our stack get more expensive this quarter?"
- "Show the price change history for Notion."
- "Which categories moved the most in the last 90 days?"
- "We renew Slack in March. What has its pricing done lately?"
