Poster MCP — AI Poster Generator tools

Read the actual price and supported selection from Poster, without generating or charging. Return an exact request to show the user and pass unchanged to create_poster after explicit approval. Models, sizes, availability and prices come from the API.

PAID ACTION: submit the exact quoted request only after the user approves its prompt, selection and quoted credits. Requires the operator-configured per-poster credit limit. Reuse the identical requestId and payload after uncertainty; never silently create a replacement task. A planning/generating response is pending, not a finished poster.

Read an existing owned poster and its current state. A ready response includes the actual previewUrl and document. Does not advance a task, create images or charge. Non-owned IDs remain refused by the existing API.

MUTATING ACTION: continue an existing owned job only with explicit approval of that job and its original cost. The existing API may perform recovery attempts within that job budget, save results and settle its frozen approved price. This does not create a separate poster request. The new-creation credit cap does not reprice an accepted job. Use get_poster for read-only status. Do not replace a failed job automatically.

Make shop and event posters from chat

Poster.sh is an AI Poster Generator that turns a text brief into a poster. Connect Poster MCP directly to supported ChatGPT and Claude web accounts to quote a shop promotion or event poster, approve creation, and retrieve your own result.

Use it for a cafe opening, a store promotion, an event announcement or a product launch. Describe the message, wording, colors and layout you want. A finished task returns the actual poster preview and its document.

Add a custom MCP app or connector in your ChatGPT or Claude web settings and enter the remote MCP URL above. You do not need to install the local adapter for this connection.
Sign in to Poster. Select your own Poster API Key on the Poster authorization page; create a key in your Poster account first if needed. Do not paste the key into a chat or this listing.
Grant the permissions you need. Read access supports quotes and reading your own existing posters. Creation requires enabling creation access and setting a per-poster credit limit on the authorization page.
Ask for a quote first. Review the exact request and credit cost before approving generation. You can revoke the connection from your Poster account.

ChatGPT and Claude web connections, quotes and owned-result reads have been verified. A complete poster generation and credit deduction has also been verified in ChatGPT. Paid generation in Claude has not been separately tested. Availability depends on your AI client's plan, region and support for custom MCP apps or connectors; the AI client's own fees are separate.

Example: a cafe opening poster

Review the quote, approve the request, then retrieve the finished poster. A planning or generating response is still pending; only a ready result with a real preview is finished.

Free connection; generation uses your own credits

Connecting to Poster MCP, getting quotes and reading your own existing results do not incur an additional Poster fee.
Creating a poster uses the connected user's own Poster credits at the actual quoted price. Connection does not give unlimited free generation or a shared operator balance.
If your balance is insufficient, you need to add credits before generating. Existing Poster account and credit rules still apply; connecting another AI client does not grant another signup credit allowance.
Review and approve each generation request and its cost. A per-poster credit limit is a limit for one new poster, not a daily or lifetime spending budget.

Existing tools

Current MCP tools cover poster generation, progress and owned results. Image editing, uploads, batch generation and translation are not included. If a call times out, preserve the original request ID and complete payload instead of automatically creating a replacement job.

Local MCP clients

The existing MIT-licensed local stdio adapter remains available for clients that launch local processes. Its Node.js, private API Key and per-poster limit setup is documented in the local installation guide. Local and remote access use the same Poster API and account credits.
