The Paidnice organisations this connection can use. Pass an id as organisationId to the other tools.

Returns the organisation that owns the supplied API key.

Returns receivables totals for the authenticated organisation: amount outstanding, amount overdue, unpaid and overdue invoice counts and the number of active contacts. Totals are in the organisation's base currency.

Returns contacts for the authenticated organisation, most recently created first. Use search to find a contact by name, account number or contact person email, then use its id with the other contact and invoice operations.

Returns a contact by id.

Replaces the set of persons on a contact. Send the full desired list of persons; the change is pushed to the accounting system and the contact is then re-synced. Exactly one person must be marked as primary. The primary person is imported, while additional persons may be local depending on accounting-system rules.

Returns invoices for the authenticated organisation ordered by due date, earliest first. Defaults to unpaid invoices; filter by contact, status or due date range. Deleted invoices are never returned.

Returns an invoice by internal id for the authenticated organisation.

Returns inbound SMS messages for the authenticated organisation, most recent first.

Returns inbound emails for the authenticated organisation, most recent first.

Returns notes written on a contact or an invoice, newest first. Pass exactly one of contactId or invoiceId. Notes on a contact include the notes on each of its invoices.

Overview

What is the Paidnice MCP server?

Paidnice is accounts receivable automation for businesses on Xero and QuickBooks Online. It sends invoice reminders, statements and late fees, and it collects the replies your customers send by email and SMS. The official Paidnice MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants read that data and keep customer contacts current.

What you can do

  • Read the customer emails and SMS replies that came in through Paidnice.
  • List and look up customers: their contact people, contact group and SMS opt-out.
  • List and look up invoices, and read the notes on them.
  • Get a summary of each organization you connect.
  • Update the contact people on a customer. Paidnice sends the change to Xero or QuickBooks Online. This needs Write access.

Example prompts

  • What did customers reply overnight?
  • Brief me before I call Northline.
  • Kestrel emailed a new accounts address. Update their contact.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, ChatGPT or any client that accepts a remote MCP server, add a custom connector with the URL https://api.paidnice.com/mcp.
  2. Sign in to Paidnice with OAuth. There is no API key to copy.
  3. Tick the organizations to connect. Read access is always on and Write is optional.

One connection covers every organization you tick, so accountants can ask about a client by name. Revoke a connection at any time under My Account > Connected apps.

Requirements

A Paidnice account on the Pro or Custom plan, connected to Xero or QuickBooks Online.

Frequently asked questions

1

What is the Paidnice remote MCP server?

The Paidnice remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://api.paidnice.com/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.

2

How do I connect to the Paidnice MCP server?

Add the endpoint https://api.paidnice.com/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.

3

Does the Paidnice MCP server require authentication?

Yes. Paidnice uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in and authorize access, then reuses the credentials for future sessions.

4

Which transport does the Paidnice MCP server use?

Paidnice exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
