Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData

@CDataSoftware

This project builds a read-only MCP server. For full read, write, update, delete, and action capabilities and a simplified setup, check out our free CData MCP Server for Oracle Service Cloud (beta): https://www.cdata.com/download/download.aspx?sku=KOZK-V&type=beta

Overview

What is Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData?

Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData is a read-only Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets large language models (LLMs) like Claude Desktop query live Oracle Service Cloud data using natural language. It wraps the CData JDBC Driver for Oracle Service Cloud, exposing the data as relational SQL models without requiring SQL knowledge from the user.

How to use Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData?

Clone the repository, build the JAR with mvn clean install, download and license the CData JDBC Driver for Oracle Service Cloud, configure a connection string via the driver’s utility, and create a .prp properties file with the JDBC URL. Then add the server to your AI client’s MCP configuration (e.g., claude_desktop_config.json) and launch the client. The server runs via stdio and must be on the same machine as the client.

Key features of Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData

  • Read-only access to Oracle Service Cloud data.
  • Exposes live data as relational SQL models.
  • Supports natural language queries through AI clients.

FAQ from Oracle Service Cloud MCP Server by CData

Is the server read-only or can it modify data?

The server is explicitly designed as read-only. For full CRUD and action capabilities, CData offers a separate beta MCP Server for Oracle Service Cloud.

What are the dependencies and runtime requirements?

You need Java, Maven (to build the JAR), and the CData JDBC Driver for Oracle Service Cloud (requires a license). The server runs on any platform that supports Java.

Where does the data actually live?

Data resides in Oracle Service Cloud. The server never stores data locally; all queries are executed live against the source via the JDBC driver.

What transport does the server use?

The server uses stdio transport, so it can only be used with AI clients running on the same machine.

How do I authenticate to Oracle Service Cloud?

Authentication is configured through the JDBC connection string (e.g., using OAuth). The driver’s Connection String utility helps you set up and test the connection.
