opgen MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implementation for password generation. It is based on 1Password’s opgen tool and automatically copies generated passwords to the clipboard. It is intended for use with MCP-compatible clients (e.g., AI assistants) that need programmatic password creation.
Install it via go install github.com/syumai/opgen-mcp-server@latest, then configure it as a command in your MCP client’s settings. Two tools are provided: generate_password_characters (character-based passwords) and generate_password_words (word-based passwords). Both are invoked by the client after the server starts.
uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols, and ambiguous.

Run `go install github.com/syumai/opgen-mcp-server@latest`. You need a working Go installation.

The README implies standard MCP stdio transport (the server is executed as a subprocess of the client).
