An MCP server that provides tools for reading and creating conversations and memories via the Omi API. It is built for developers using MCP-compatible clients such as Claude Desktop or Cursor who need programmatic access to Omi data.
Install automatically via Smithery or clone the repository, install dependencies with npm install, and create a .env file with API_KEY and APP_ID. Build with npm run build, start with npm run start, and configure your MCP client to use the compiled dist/index.js via stdio transport.
Node.js and npm. After cloning, run `npm install` and set the `API_KEY` and `APP_ID` environment variables in a `.env` file.
The server uses stdio transport. Claude Desktop and Cursor configurations point to the built `dist/index.js` file with no additional arguments.
All data resides in the Omi API service. The server acts as a bridge, relaying requests from the MCP client to the Omi API and returning the results.
Four tools: `read_omi_conversations`, `read_omi_memories`, `create_omi_conversation`, and `create_omi_memories`. Each has documented parameters such as `user_id`, `limit`, `offset`, and `text_source`.
A test client (`test-mcp-client.js`) is included. Run it after building to get an interactive menu that lets you list conversations, list memories, create a conversation, and quit. It uses a default test user ID (`test-user-123`).
