Overview
What is Office 365 MCP Server by CData?
This read-only MCP server enables LLMs like Claude Desktop to query live Office 365 data using natural language. It wraps the CData JDBC Driver for Office 365, exposing Office 365 as relational SQL models that AI clients can read without requiring SQL.
How to use Office 365 MCP Server by CData?
Clone the repository, build with mvn clean install, download and license the CData JDBC Driver for Office 365, configure a connection string using the driver’s utility, create a .prp file with driver path and JDBC URL, then add the server to your client’s config (e.g., claude_desktop_config.json). Run the server with java -jar CDataMCP-jar-with-dependencies.jar PATH/TO/office-365.prp. The server uses stdio transport, so it must run on the same machine as the client.
