Overview
What is NameIntel?
NameIntel is a remote MCP server that scores brand names across five dimensions — Domain, Trademark, Social, SEO, and GEO (AI findability) — and returns a composite 0–100 score with sub-scores and a verdict. It uses x402 micropayments (USDC on Base and Solana) with no signup or API keys. Designed for AI agents and founders who need clear-to-launch brand validation.
How to use NameIntel?
Add the server to Claude Code with claude mcp add --transport http nameintel https://mcp.nameintel.io/mcp or paste the URL into Claude Desktop's connector settings. No API key is needed. On the first call, the tool returns HTTP 402 with a price; sign the payment with a Base or Solana wallet and retry. The same scoring engine is also available as a REST API at https://api.nameintel.io.

FAQ from NameIntel
What dimensions does NameIntel score?
Domain (availability + pricing for multiple TLDs), Trademark (USPTO conflict screening), Social (handle availability on 12+ platforms), SEO (keyword strength and competition), and GEO (AI findability — how likely the name surfaces in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini).
How does pricing work?
Each tool has an upfront price in USDC: score_name ($0.05), basic score ($0.02), check_domain ($0.01), check_trademark ($0.01), check_social ($0.01), check_geo ($0.03). The first call returns HTTP 402 with a price menu; you sign the payment via a Base or Solana wallet and the x402 facilitator settles it in under a second.
Do I need an API key or signup to use NameIntel?
No. There are no API keys to provision and no accounts to sign up for. Payment happens per-call via x402 micropayments.
Can I use NameIntel without the MCP protocol?
Yes. The same scoring engine is exposed as a REST API at https://api.nameintel.io with an OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /openapi.json. You can call it with curl or any HTTP client, following the same 402–payment flow.
What is the current operational status?
The service is live at api.nameintel.io and mcp.nameintel.io. x402 mode is currently set to bypass (free during ecosystem launch) and will later switch to enforce after live-payload verification.
