Overview

What is Mobile Text Alerts SMS?

Mobile Text Alerts SMS is the official remote MCP server from Mobile Text Alerts, an SMS messaging platform for businesses and organizations. It connects any MCP-compatible AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others — to your Mobile Text Alerts account, so you can send and schedule text messages, manage subscribers and groups, and complete carrier registration through conversation.

Key features

Six tools cover the core messaging workflow:

  • Send Message — send an SMS immediately to a phone number, in any common number format.
  • Schedule Message — queue an SMS for a specific future date and time.
  • Add Subscribers — add or update up to 1,000 subscribers per call, with names, emails, custom fields, and group assignments. Choose create-only or create-or-update behavior.
  • Create Group — create standard groups, or adaptive groups whose membership updates automatically from subscriber attributes (for example, everyone with an email at a given domain).
  • Get Onboarding Status and Submit Business Data — new accounts complete carrier brand registration and toll-free verification directly in the conversation, so an assistant can take a fresh account from sign-up to sending. Carrier approval typically takes about one business day.

How to use

  1. Add the server to your MCP client with the configuration above, or install it from the Claude connectors directory.
  2. Sign in with your Mobile Text Alerts account when prompted.
  3. New account? Ask your assistant to start onboarding. It collects your business details and submits carrier registration for you.
  4. Start sending. Try one of the prompts below.

Example prompts

  • "Text (615) 555-0142 that their order is ready for pickup."
  • "Schedule a reminder to +1 615 555 0187 for Friday at 9 AM Central: 'Your appointment is at 10.'"
  • "Add these 40 contacts as subscribers and put them in the New Members group."
  • "Create an adaptive group for every subscriber with an @school.edu email address."

Use cases

  • Appointment, pickup, and payment reminders
  • Staff, volunteer, and member notifications
  • Building subscriber lists from CRM exports or spreadsheets
  • Segmented groups that maintain themselves as subscriber data changes
