Overview

What is WayStation?

WayStation is a universal remote MCP server that connects Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and any MCP host with productivity tools such as Notion, Monday, Airtable, Jira, and many others through a no‑code, secure integration hub. It replaces the earlier local MCP server with a hosted remote endpoint.

How to use WayStation?

Registered users obtain a unique MCP URL from their dashboard at https://waystation.ai/dashboard. Then configure the server name “WayStation” and that URL in their MCP client – for Claude via Settings > Integrations > Add Integration, for Cline via MCP Server > Remote Servers tab, and for Cursor via mcp.json. The default endpoint is https://waystation.ai/mcp, which handles transport negotiation and authorization.

Key features of WayStation

  • Supports Streamable HTTPS and SSE transports.
  • Preauthenticated individual endpoints (e.g., https://waystation.ai/mcp/Iddq66dIdkfARDNb3K).
  • Connects to 15+ productivity apps including Notion, Monday, Asana, Linear, Jira, Slack, Teams, Google Drive, Office 365, Airtable, Miro, Intercom, PayPal.
  • Tested with Claude, Cursor, Cline, WindSurf, and MCP‑remote STDIO proxy.
  • New integrations added regularly based on user requests.
  • No‑code integration hub – no manual configuration per app.

Use cases of WayStation

  • Project Management – manage tasks and timelines across tools.
  • Task Automation – automate repetitive workflows between apps.
  • Meeting Summaries & Action Items – extract and organize notes.
  • Workflow Automation & Process Optimization – connect disjointed steps.
  • Reporting & Insights – pull data from multiple sources for dashboards.

How do I connect WayStation to an AI client?

For Claude, go to Settings > Integrations > Add Integration, enter “WayStation” and your unique MCP URL. For Cline, go to MCP Server > Remote Servers tab, enter the same. For Cursor, add an entry in mcp.json with the URL. The steps are similar for other MCP‑compatible apps.

What transports does WayStation support?

WayStation supports both Streamable HTTPS and SSE transports. The default endpoint negotiates the transport automatically.

Is this a local or remote server?

WayStation is a remote MCP server hosted at https://waystation.ai/mcp. The original local server is deprecated.

Do I need to authenticate?

Yes. After registering, you get a preauthenticated unique URL from your dashboard. The connection to each productivity app typically uses OAuth2 authentication, with some apps requiring additional steps.
