Overview

What is Gas Agent?

Gas Agent is an MCP-compatible, AI-ready dashboard for monitoring real-time gas prices on Ethereum, BNB, and Polygon. It enables users to ask natural language questions and receive smart recommendations on when to transact.

How to use Gas Agent?

Run locally by installing dependencies (npm install), building Tailwind CSS (npm run build:css), and starting the server (npm start). Open http://localhost:3000 in a browser. Connect AI agents (Claude/GPT) via the mcp.json plugin file.

Key features of Gas Agent

  • Multi-network support for Ethereum, BNB, and Polygon
  • Live gas price API for each network
  • Dashboard with interactive charts (Max Fee & Priority Fee)
  • Natural language processing agent for human questions
  • Real-time alerts when gas fee is extremely low
  • Export gas history to CSV
  • Auto-refreshing UI with adjustable refresh rate
  • MCP‑compatible plugin (mcp.json) for AI integration

Use cases of Gas Agent

  • Monitor live gas prices across multiple blockchain networks
  • Ask natural language questions like “Is now a good time?”
  • Compare gas fees between Ethereum, BNB, and Polygon
  • Receive real‑time alerts when fees are low
  • Export historical gas data for analysis

FAQ from Gas Agent

How can I connect Gas Agent to an AI assistant?

Use the mcp.json file included in the project to connect it directly to Claude or GPT.

What API endpoints are available?

Gas Agent provides /api/gas-price for live prices, /api/nlp-agent for natural language replies, and /dashboard for the full UI.

What are the runtime dependencies?

Node.js and Express, with TailwindCSS, Chart.js, and third‑party APIs (Blocknative, BscScan, PolygonScan).

Where does the data come from?
