Hubdb MCP Server by CData is a read-only MCP server that enables LLMs like Claude Desktop to query live HubDB data using natural language. It wraps the CData JDBC Driver for HubDB, which exposes HubDB as relational SQL models.
Clone the repository, build the JAR with Maven, install and license the CData JDBC Driver for HubDB, and configure a .prp file with the driver path, driver class, and JDBC URL. Then add the server to the Claude Desktop config file (claude_desktop_config.json) and restart the client.

Java, Maven, and the CData JDBC Driver for HubDB (trial or licensed) are required. The driver must be installed and licensed before use.
Create a .prp file with the properties Prefix, ServerName, ServerVersion, DriverPath, DriverClass, JdbcUrl, and Tables. Use the Connection String utility included with the JDBC driver to generate the JDBC URL.
The server uses stdio transport, so it can only be used with clients running on the same machine.
Ensure Claude Desktop is fully quit before restarting, verify the connection string using the Connection String utility, and contact the CData Support Team or the CData Community for further help.
