The Honeycomb MCP Server is an interface that uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable Claude AI to interact with the Honeycomb API. It allows users to retrieve, create, and update Honeycomb datasets, queries, events, boards, markers, SLOs, and triggers.

How to use Honeycomb MCP Server?

Install the package globally via npm install -g @kajirita2002/honeycomb-mcp-server or run directly with npx @kajirita2002/honeycomb-mcp-server. Set the HONEYCOMB_API_KEY environment variable to your Honeycomb API key. Then configure your MCP client (e.g., in mcp_config.json) with the command npx, arguments ["-y", "@kajirita2002/honeycomb-mcp-server"], and the environment variable.
