Overview

What is docket?

docket is project management, time tracking and billing for agencies: projects, tickets, budgets, quotations and invoices in one place. The docket MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code work with your workspace — always as you, and only with what you can see in docket.

What you can ask

  • "How much have I tracked this week? Where are gaps?"
  • "What's on my plate this week?" / "What's new since yesterday?"
  • "Where does the header ticket stand?" — with its latest comments
  • "Show me the budgets of all projects for Acme. Where are we over budget?"
  • "Which invoices are overdue?" (Project Managers and Admins)
  • "Which designer still has time this week?"

What it can do for you

  • Book time: "Book 1.5 hours on the header ticket, design work." Log, change and delete your own time entries — never anyone else's.
  • Stopwatches: start, pause, resume, rename and book them — the same stopwatches as in docket's sidebar.
  • Tickets: create, comment, reschedule, close and reopen tickets in projects you can open. Tickets mirrored from Jira stay read-only.

Every change is marked as an action that needs your confirmation, so your AI app asks before it books or edits anything.

Tools

  • Read: get_context, search_customers, search_projects, get_project, project_budgets, search_tickets, my_tickets, get_ticket, list_services, list_time_entries, my_week, team_capacity, list_invoices, list_quotations, financial_summary, revenue_forecast, list_stopwatches, my_notifications
  • Time: log_time, update_time_entry, delete_time_entry, start_stopwatch, pause_stopwatch, resume_stopwatch, update_stopwatch, book_stopwatch, discard_stopwatch
  • Tickets: create_ticket, comment_on_ticket, reschedule_ticket, close_ticket, reopen_ticket

Setup

  1. An admin enables Administration → Settings → Allow AI connections (off by default).
  2. Add a custom connector in your AI app with the URL https://mcp.docket.rocks/mcp — the same address for every workspace.
  3. Sign in: enter your workspace (yourcompany for yourcompany.docket.rocks), log in and click Allow.

Disconnect anytime under Profile settings → AI connections.

Privacy & permissions

Access follows your docket role: revenue, budget amounts, invoices and quotations are only visible to Project Managers and Admins. Data goes to an AI provider only when you connect an app yourself. Changing your password or leaving the workspace disconnects every app.
