Give an agent a place to put large output. Instead of returning 40k characters of a build log into the conversation, it posts the file to DocBin and hands back one short URL. Docs render with syntax highlighting and markdown, every update is a new immutable version, and old links keep working. Six tools for create, read, update, delete, list and search. Works anonymously with no signup, or sign in for permanent docs under your own handle.
https://mcp.docbin.app/mcpclaude mcp add docbin --transport http https://mcp.docbin.app/mcpCreate a document and return its public URL. Re-using an existing name adds a new immutable version. Omit the name to get a random one. For content larger than ~10KB or any file already on disk, do NOT inline it here - run `docbin push <file> [--name <doc>]` in your shell instead (set DOCBIN_TOKEN to an API key from https://docbin.app/settings/keys). Inlining large content streams it through the model token-by-token and will time out.
Fetch the raw stored content of a document. Defaults to your own handle and the latest version.
Search your documents by name. Returns matches with their URLs and latest versions.
DocBin turns any document into a stable URL. Paste markdown, code, HTML, or a build log, and you get a link under your own handle.
Edit a document and DocBin publishes a new version. The old one stays put, so a link you shared last month still shows what it showed then. You can point at the latest version or pin a specific one.
Documents render instead of sitting there as plain text. Code gets syntax highlighting and markdown gets real formatting. HTML renders as a full page, served from a separate domain that cannot reach your session.
Anything the site does, a script can do. There is a REST API and a command line tool. There is also an MCP server. An AI agent can publish its own output instead of dumping it into the conversation.
You can paste with no account at all.
Public documents show up in search, and unlisted ones are link-only. Private ones need you signed in. You can also set a password, or hand out a share link you can revoke later. Add an expiry, or burn a document after a single read.

Add the endpoint https://mcp.docbin.app/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.
Yes. DocBin uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in and authorize access, then reuses the credentials for future sessions.
DocBin exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
