Overview

What is CryptoQuant?

CryptoQuant is an MCP server that brings CryptoQuant’s on-chain and market data into AI agents like Claude. It lets you query real-time metrics, valuation signals, and market interpretation in natural language across 245+ endpoints covering BTC, ETH, ALT, Stablecoins, ERC20, TRX, and XRP.

How to use CryptoQuant?

Add a custom remote connector in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop with URL https://mcp.cryptoquant.com/mcp, choosing API Key or Keyless authentication. For local install, configure the cryptoquant-mcp npm package with CRYPTOQUANT_API_KEY in your environment (requires Node.js v18+). Use the tools initialize, discover_endpoints, get_endpoint_info, query_data, describe_metric, list_assets, and reset_session.

Key features of CryptoQuant

  • Valuation metrics: MVRV, SOPR, NUPL, realized price

  • Derivatives & leverage data: funding rates, open interest
  • Multilingual support: query in English, Korean, and other languages
  • 245+ endpoints across multiple asset classes

FAQ from CryptoQuant

What does CryptoQuant do that alternatives don’t?

CryptoQuant provides institutional‑grade on‑chain analytics (valuation, flows, leverage) with 245+ endpoints and multilingual natural‑language querying, all natively inside an AI agent.

Do I need an API key?

You can use Keyless mode on the remote server for quick testing, but obtaining your own API key from https://cryptoquant.com/settings/api gives you dedicated rate limits.

What are the runtime requirements?

The local npm installation requires Node.js v18 or higher.

Which assets are supported?

BTC, ETH, ALT (altcoins), Stablecoins, ERC20 tokens, TRX, and XRP are explicitly listed.

How do I authenticate with the remote server?

Choose either API Key (with your own key) or Keyless mode when adding the custom connector in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop.
