Overview

What is CovaSyn?

CovaSyn gives AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and any MCP client) real chemistry tools. Instead of guessing, the model calls deterministic calculations and gets results you can check.

What you can do

  • Spectra: NMR assignment and prediction, mass spectrometry (formula, fragments, impurities, metabolites), IR and UV analysis
  • Safety and regulatory: ADMET, toxicity screening, ICH M7 mutagenicity assessment, structural alerts
  • Stability: shelf-life estimation, Arrhenius fitting, OOT/OOS detection (ICH Q1)
  • Analytical methods: HPLC method scouting, column selection, USP <621> checks
  • Development: DoE design and analysis, solubility and crystallisation, retrosynthesis, docking, structure prediction
  • Biologics: antibody developability, peptides, oligos, mRNA and LNP formulation

Why it matters

On MolecularIQ, an independent public chemistry benchmark (preprint arXiv:2601.15279, Klambauer Lab, JKU Linz), AI models alone reached 14 to 41% on chemical structure tasks. With CovaSyn tools they reached 76 to 92%. Details: https://covasyn.com/en/benchmark

Frequently asked questions

1

What is the CovaSyn Chemistry Tools remote MCP server?

The CovaSyn Chemistry Tools remote MCP server is a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint at https://mcp.covasyn.com/mcp, so AI assistants can connect to it without installing or running anything locally.

2

How do I connect to the CovaSyn Chemistry Tools MCP server?

Add the endpoint https://mcp.covasyn.com/mcp to any MCP-compatible client such as Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code. The setup snippets on this page configure each client in one step.

3

Does the CovaSyn Chemistry Tools MCP server require authentication?

Yes. CovaSyn Chemistry Tools uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your MCP client opens a browser window to sign in and authorize access, then reuses the credentials for future sessions.

4

Which transport does the CovaSyn Chemistry Tools MCP server use?

CovaSyn Chemistry Tools exposes a Streamable HTTP endpoint, the transport used by remote MCP servers and supported by all major MCP clients.
