Overview
What is Collimer?
Collimer is an MCP server that lets any AI agent run a free AI-search visibility scan on any website. It measures how often a brand is cited in AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and identifies the single biggest gap in visibility.
How to use Collimer?
Add Collimer to any MCP client by configuring the server with npx -y collimer-mcp. Then ask your assistant to run the collimer_scan tool with a domain (and optionally an email) to receive a teaser result.

FAQ from Collimer
What does the scan actually check?
It checks how visible a domain is in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, returning a score and the top area for improvement.
How do I get the full report?
The scan returns a teaser; the full report (share of voice per engine plus all recommendations) is unlocked with a free account at collimer.com.
Does Collimer access my files or conversation?
No – the server only calls the Collimer scan API for the domain you provide and does not read your files or conversation. The optional email is the only personal data sent.
Is an API key required?
No API key is needed. The server uses Collimer’s public scan endpoint; providing an email is optional and speeds up claiming your free account later.
What data does the server store?
Scans are tagged with a source (default mcp) for funnel attribution. No personal data beyond the optional email is stored.
