Overview
What is Chart Pane?
Chart Pane is an MCP server that renders charts and dashboards entirely on the client side. It integrates with AI chat applications like Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, VS Code, and Cursor to generate visualizations without sending data to a server.
How to use Chart Pane?
Add Chart Pane as a custom connector in Claude Desktop via Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector using the URL https://mcp.chartpane.com. Once connected, use the render_chart tool to create a single chart or the render_dashboard tool to create a multi‑chart grid layout.

- 7 chart types: bar, line, area, pie, doughnut, scatter, radar
- Stacked and horizontal bar chart variants
- Multi‑chart dashboard grids (up to 4 columns)
