Overview

The official MCP server for assign2me, a task management application for IT teams and their clients.

Connect your AI assistant to your workspace and manage tasks through natural language. Read task descriptions, create and assign work, add comments, complete tasks, and prepare project status reports without switching between your assistant and the application.

What you can do

  • Find and review tasks: search tasks, read their details and history, and view your work grouped into New, Today, Next, and Later.
  • Create and update work: create tasks and subtasks, assign owners, set due dates, and update descriptions.
  • Keep projects organized: create projects and sections, move tasks between sections, and manage project members.
  • Record progress: add comments, complete tasks, and reopen them when further work is needed.
  • Track client dependencies: identify tasks waiting on clients, including how long they have been waiting.
  • Prepare status reports: retrieve project and team summaries and gather updates for client communication.
  • Work with client guests: create tasks for guests on the client's side.

Example requests

  • “Show me my tasks for today and highlight anything overdue.”
  • “What is waiting on the client in the website migration project?”
  • “Create a task for Anna to review the requirements by Friday.”
  • “Turn these meeting notes into tasks and assign them to the people responsible.”
  • “Prepare a project update covering what waits on the client, what waits on our team, and what we completed this week.”
  • “Read my assigned bug report, implement the fix, add a comment explaining the changes, and complete the task.”

For coding workflows, an assistant such as Claude Code can combine assign2me task context with its access to your local development environment.
