A starter project to deploy a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server on Cloudflare Workers with OAuth login. It is intended for developers who want to run MCP tools remotely and connect them to clients like Claude Desktop.
Clone the repository, install dependencies with npm install, run locally with npx nx dev remote-mcp-server, and deploy to Cloudflare using npm run deploy. To connect a client, use SSE transport at the /sse endpoint (e.g. http://localhost:8787/sse locally or https://worker-name.account-name.workers.dev/sse after deployment).
npx wrangler and npm run deployClone the repo, run `npm install`, then `npx nx dev remote-mcp-server`. Open `http://localhost:8787/` in a browser.
Create a KV namespace with `npx wrangler kv namespace create OAUTH_KV`, add the namespace ID to `wrangler.jsonc`, then run `npm run deploy`.
Add an entry to your Claude Desktop config file with `"command": "npx"`, `"args": ["mcp-remote", "<URL>/sse"]`. Use the local `http://localhost:8787/sse` or the deployed `https://worker-name.account-name.workers.dev/sse`.
The server uses SSE (Server‑Sent Events) transport. In the MCP Inspector, set Transport Type to `SSE` and enter the server’s `/sse` URL.
Restart Claude, or test the connection directly with `npx mcp-remote http://localhost:8787/sse`. If needed, clear cached data with `rm -rf ~/.mcp-auth`.
Development environments for coding agents. Enable multiple agents to work safely and independently with your preferred stack.
