Rapls AI Chatbot — WordPress MCP Server

A WordPress plugin with a built-in MCP server. Once installed on your site, it lets MCP clients (Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code) read and act on your WordPress content — searching your knowledge base, reading chat conversations, and talking to the site's AI chatbot — all from your own server.

Unlike standalone MCP servers, this one runs inside WordPress. Your data stays on your server, and you bring your own AI key (OpenAI / Claude / Gemini / OpenRouter).

Tool	What it does
`search_knowledge`	Search the knowledge base and indexed site content; returns matching articles, FAQs, and pages
`list_conversations`	List chat conversations with message counts
`get_conversation`	Get a single conversation with its full message history
`send_message`	Send a message to the AI chatbot and get a response (with knowledge-base context)
`get_site_info`	Get site info and plugin configuration (API keys are never exposed)

Two more tools (search_products, get_analytics) are available in the Pro version.

How it works

Transport: Remote HTTP (JSON-RPC 2.0 over a single POST endpoint)
Endpoint: https://your-site.com/wp-json/rapls-ai-chatbot/v1/mcp
Auth: Authorization: Bearer <your-mcp-api-key>

Setup

Install the plugin from the WordPress.org directory.
Enable the MCP server in the plugin settings (it is disabled by default).
Generate an MCP API key in the admin screen — this becomes your Bearer token (shown once).
