What is Lotus Wisdom MCP Server?

An MCP server that provides a tool for problem-solving using the Lotus Sutra’s wisdom framework, combining analytical thinking with intuitive wisdom. It is available as a local stdio package via npx or as a hosted remote Connector.

Install with Node.js 18+ via npx -y lotus-wisdom-mcp and configure in your MCP host (Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor, etc.). Frequently asked questions

1

What runtime does Lotus Wisdom MCP Server require?

Node.js 18+.

2

How can I install Lotus Wisdom MCP Server?

It can be installed via Smithery (one-click), or manually by adding the command `npx -y lotus-wisdom-mcp` to your MCP host configuration. The README provides specific config snippets for Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Cherry Studio, Witsy, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI.

3

What tools and prompts does Lotus Wisdom MCP Server provide?

Two tools: `lotuswisdom` (problem-solving with tag-based contemplation) and `lotuswisdom_summary` (summary of the contemplative journey). Two MCP Prompts: `contemplate` (single-question session) and `deep-inquiry` (longer multi-domain inquiry).

4

How does the contemplative process work?

The user submits a problem. The model begins with `tag='begin'` to receive the full framework, then continues with contemplation tags (open, examine, integrate, meditate, express, etc.). Each step includes a tag, content, step number, and whether another step is needed. Meditation pauses can be included. When the tool returns `status='WISDOM_READY'`, the model expresses the final wisdom naturally.
