A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that integrates with the Linear API, enabling LLMs to create, read, update, and search issues in Linear's issue tracking system. It is intended for developers using MCP-compatible clients such as Claude Desktop.
Obtain a Linear API key from your team's settings, then add a server configuration entry to the Claude Desktop configuration file (claude_desktop_config.json) specifying npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-linear as the command and providing the API key via the LINEAR_API_KEY environment variable.
Run `npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-linear` with the `LINEAR_API_KEY` environment variable set. No local installation is required if Node.js and npx are available.
Add the server configuration to `claude_desktop_config.json` under `mcpServers.linear` with the npx command and your API key in the `env` section.
