FinData is an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides professional financial data access capabilities for large language models (LLMs). It supports data providers such as Tushare, Wind, and DataYes, and fully supports both Stdio and SSE transports for flexible deployment.
How to use FinData Mcp Server?
Install Python 3.11+, uv, and dependencies. Configure the DATA_API_TOKEN and PROVIDER environment variables (e.g., PROVIDER=tushare). For Stdio transport, edit your MCP client configuration to run uv run server.py with the env vars. For SSE transport, set the env vars on the server, start with uv run server.py --transport sse, and point your client to the SSE endpoint (default http://localhost:8000/sse). Optional SSE arguments: --sse-host and --sse-port.
