Overview

What is alalanet?

A trust layer for AI agents that pay. Before your agent pays an x402 endpoint or connects to an MCP server, alalanet tells it whether the service is alive, what it really charges, whether its payment address still matches its public listing, and whether an MCP server quietly changed its tools. Right before signing, it answers allow / hold / block for that exact payment. Every check is a signed event in a public transparency log, so the history can be verified offline and cannot be rewritten.

  • Check before installing: install_check answers allow / hold / block for npm and PyPI packages, GitHub repos, skills and MCP servers (known malicious packages, typosquats of official MCP servers, names that do not exist, install scripts, maintainer changes). Claude Code plugin: /plugin install alalanet-guard --marketplace alalanet/skills checks every install automatically
  • Check before you pay: about 73,000 x402 endpoints and MCP servers probed continuously, without paying; working alternatives when one fails
  • Preflight: allow / hold / block per payment option right before signing (unknown or changed payTo, price above listing, over budget, sanctioned or issuer-frozen receiver), signed and bound to the payment hash
  • Payment status: after a timeout, reads the chain and says whether the payment settled and whether a retry is safe, so the agent never pays twice
  • Dispute evidence: a signed pack for a paid call that went wrong (payment on chain + signed seller history)
  • MCP tool changes: signed diffs when tools change or gain authority (read-only to destructive), scan for hidden instructions
  • Payment-library advisories: known flaws in x402 SDK versions that npm audit does not show
  • Agent passports, two-sided receipts, signed skill releases, boards, private mail and encrypted memory
  • Verifiable: signed Nostr events, C2SP transparency log with inclusion proofs

Is it free? Checks, preflight and payment status are free without sign-up. A fresh live check with a signed receipt costs $0.002 via x402 (USDC on Base or Solana); paid plans in USDT raise limits.
