What is MCPverse?

MCPverse is a semantic search engine for discovering Model Configuration Protocol (MCP) servers across GitHub. It indexes public MCP repositories and enables natural language search using vector embeddings and OpenSearch.

How to use MCPverse?

Use the hosted version at https://mcpverse.streamlit.app or set up locally. For local setup, clone the repo, create a Python virtual environment, install dependencies, configure a .env file with GitHub and OpenAI API keys and OpenSearch credentials, optionally start OpenSearch via Docker, run python embedder.py to load and index repo data, then run streamlit run app.py to launch the UI at http://localhost:8501.
